The 9th of December 1999 was the official launch of The Garbage Discography, 9 years on the site is still going strong, the site has had many make overs during this time and has had content come and go as collectors and other websites have too.

I’m wanting to make a real effort over the next 12 months to ensure that the site has every single section that it once had when it first launched, plus a few new ones I’ve been thinking about over the years. For anyone that remembers, this site listed absolutely everything! If you think it has a lot of items on it now, then back in the day it even listed free compilation CDs that were issued by magazines, every bit of promotional material and so on. It’s my aim in the next 12 months to get it back to that state.

I’m planning the following:
1: Sort out the design: I’ve not been happy with some aspects of this new design, which is why the site is all over the place. I’m going to sort that before anything

2: Overdue updates: I am sitting on some simply amazing items that aren’t listed on this site anywhere. Some of these items are rarer than rockin’ horse s**t but I’ve not had the chance to get them online for you guys.

3: Mass Overhaul: Every single item that is listed is going to be checked and double checked again. to remove the errors that I know exists within the site. This will in most cases mean new photos for a large amount of the site.

4: The Memorabilia Section: This is going to take a bit of work to recode what I inherited from the previous owner of that section of the site.

5: Relaunch Gboots: Back in the day this site use to have a sister site called the Garbage Bootleg Discography, well it’s returning. This shouldn’t take long as I still have the old site so it’s pretty much copy and past.

6: The OSTs: A small task to re-include all the sound tracks that the band have appeared on.

7: The compilations: This is going to be a massive task. Garbage have been on hundreds of compilation CDs in their 10 year history.

8: The previous bands sections: Again this is already done and online I just need to check what’s there and add any new items, plus maybe drop the sists into the new design.
