I would say that all Garbage album eras had great packaging, but some of the memorabilia items in the Beautiful Garbage era are just stunning. I think the combination of the font used and the single names meant that there was alot of room for funky ideas of packaging of memorabilia and promo items. I think also the seemingly more limited/hard to find nature of some of the items (compared to the V2.0 era) makes them that much more appealing, but at the same time that much more expensive….

In this post are my memorabilia items from Version 2.0 - which I think had some of the better items for promotion as this is when the Garbage Official Store was selling merchandise. There were some really cool items in this era, including great sticker sheets of the V2.0 symbols (all except You Look So Fine - as far as I am aware), mailers, really well packaged press kits and tons of other stuff. I forgot to put my posters , t-shirts and official calendar in this post, but everything else currently resides in my collection :)

My new focus: Garbage memorabilia! pt.1

Well, further to my last post which was an overview of my collection, I figured I would do a new post with some specific focus on my new area of “obsession” - collecting the memorabilia from the various Garbage album eras.
There is just something really cool about the memorabilia that Garbage produced - the quirky packaging, funny concepts for items (”paranoid” condom anyone?) and generally just really aesthetically pleasing stuff! I think I would have to say that I have probably spent as much on memorabilia stuff as I would have on actual music formats like CDs, cassettes and vinyl…somewhere in that region at least.
