When and how did you get into Garbage?
It was 1999 when I heard their song “I’m Only Happy When It Rains” I really loved the song with its steady rhythm and smashing guitars. The lyrics were what REALLY surprised me as every single word sang represented me. “I’m Only Happy When It Rains” is the very first song that speaks clearly and deeply about emotions I strongly feel and how I cope with it.

When did you start collecting?
It was after I purchased all of their albums that I heard 2 of their b-sides songs. “Deadwood” and “Sleep” I starting getting into their CD singles with amazing remixes and b-sides tracks.

Do you or did you have any aims when you started out collecting?
There are a couple I have not heard yet like “Confidence” “Wild Horses” “Sex Never Goes Out Of Fashion” and “Happiness PT 2”. My aim is to HEAR all of their awesome tracks and to have the biggest collection of one of my favourite bands!!

How big is your collection?
As of now, I have all of their albums and 4 of their CD singles. “Sex Is Not The Enemy” “Queer” parts 1&2 and “Why Do You Love Me”. I’ve ordered more and they are on the way!!

What is your favourite Garbage item in your collection?
Queer part 2 CD single

How much do you think you have spent on your collection?
I have spent close to $90.00 dollars on my collection so far…

What’s the most you have spent on a Garbage item?
$32.00 I assume…

What’s the most you would ever spend on a Garbage item and what is it?
The CD single “The Trick Is To Keep Breathing” is the most expensive I’ve seen when it comes to rare singles. I saw it for $80.00 Canadian and that’s how far I will go!

Does your Garbage collecting Obsession stretch to seeing the band live in concert?
Eg: Do you follow the band from Show to Show for a period during a tour?

Yes it does. There were just in Calgary Saturday, August 27th and I was shocked they were coming for the first time in their 10 year career!! I attending the concert obviously but I don’t follow where they will tour next unless they will come back to my “not so famous” city

Will you ever sell your Garbage collection? If you were asked this same question in 5 years time what would your answer be?
As of now NO but in 5 years probably though I’m sure I’ll still treasure GARBAGE and what I have of them.
